The Home Renovation Tax Credit is a smart investment in the
long term value of your home and generates broad-based
economic activity. The credit applies to expenditures related to
renovations or alterations of a dwelling and property. Renovations
must be long lasting and integral to the dwelling.
The credit will be available for the 2009 tax year and applies to
eligible expenditures between $1,000 and $10,000, with a maximum
tax credit of $1,350 ($9000 x 15%). Note: You won't receive a rebate!
It reduces the Net Federal Tax you'll have to pay! (See Schedule 1 of
