1. Decks and Fencing - Inspect your deck, porch and fence; look for loose nails and boards. Check for rotted boards
and insecure railings that need to be replaced. Clean and seal, stain or paint the deck, railing and stairs.
2. Examine your front door! Winter storms and wear & tear from kids and pets can leave front doors looking dingy.
Replacing doors with more energy efficient ones saves money on heating and air. Or paint/re-stain.
3. Check grab bars and hand rails to ensure they are secure.
4. Eavestroughs - clean, repair, or replace.
5. Anything dripping? Check for leaking faucets, drains, shut-off valves, hose-bibs, dishwasher, water heater,
washing machine hoses, etc.
6. Moisture problems in your bathroom? To prevent mold and mildew, install a vent fan to pull the moisture out of
the bathroom. Paint using mold growth inhibitor.
7. Caulking - Remove and replace cracked caulking indoors and out; check all doors, windows (especially bay windows),
vents, etc. Also check counter-tops, toilets tubs, shower, etc. Replace weather-stripping on doors and windows.
8. Freshen grout - Check backsplash, bathtub/shower tile, entryway, floors, etc.
9. Exterior Painting - Look for signs of cracking or peeling paint. Scrape, sand, prime and repaint areas as needed.
10. Bring summer indoors with a fresh coat of paint. Repair any water-damaged areas, holes and cracks first.
